Michelle is an experienced and approachable psychologist known for her straightforward, direct and pragmatically compassionate style.
With 20 years of experience in the mental health sector, including private practice, not-for-profit organisations, and hospital settings, Michelle provides compassionate and evidence-based therapy for individuals facing a wide range of mental health concerns. She specialises in treating anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other emotional challenges, while also supporting clients in achieving overall well-being and personal growth. With family ties to service life Michelle values providing support to current and former serving uniformed personnel and their families.
In addition to offering one-on-one therapy, Michelle is a highly skilled group therapist and facilitator with extensive training in structured, diagnosis-specific therapy groups.

With core training in the Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT), Michelle utilises evidence informed psychological interventions, including:
Schema Therapy,
Interpersonal Therapy,
Mindfulness informed CBT,
CBT-Insomnia,
Solution-Focused Therapy, and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Service Information
Individual psychology
We accept referrals to work with Adults (18+).
Appointment duration: 50-60 minutes
Sessions rates: Individuals: $210.00 per weekday appointment - $230.00 per appointment on weekends.
Telehealth sessions are available - please discuss your preference for in-clinic or telehealth at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy: We are a part time practice and our appointments are precious.
We appreciate you giving at least 24 hours’ notice if you cannot attend. For cancellations under 24 hours (except in emergencies) 70% of the session rate will apply with no Medicare rebate.

2. Register on our Zanda Health platform and book or reschedule appointments with ease. Click on the button to take you to the client portal.
Once you are set up on the client portal you will receive consent and intake forms to complete and submit prior to your first appointment.
Do I need a referral?
A doctor’s referral is not required to book an appointment with a psychologist – you are able to self-refer. Use this contact form
If you prefer not to access rebates Michelle Saleeba Psychology accepts private full fee paying clients. Please discuss this with us when you make contact.
If you would like to access a rebate from Medicare you will need to speak with your doctor to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan.
Rebates – Medicare and Private Health
Michelle is a Psychologist with general registration. Appointments attract a rebate from Medicare for up to 10 sessions.
The current Medicare rebate for a 50-60 minute appointment is $96.65. Please speak with your GP to see if you are eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan.
If you have private health cover, rebates may be available under ancillary cover. Contact your insurer to confirm your entitlements.
Please note you cannot claim both Medicare rebates and private health insurance reimbursement for the same session.
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
Eligible veterans and defence community members may receive fully funded psychological services through DVA. Ensure you have a valid referral from your GP or psychiatrist.
Crisis and after hours support
Michelle Saleeba Psychology is a part-time practice, with service and support being provided via booked appointments, we do not provide crisis support.
